Freddie Mercury (September 5, 1946 - November 24, 1991) was a rock musician.Mercury was best known as the frontman, pianist, and vocalist for the English rock band Queen, and for his powerful vocal abilities and charisma as a live performer.As a songwriter, he composed many international hits, including 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love,' and 'We Are the Champions.'Mercury died from complications of AIDS, greatly increasing awareness of the disease.
