The Cockney Rejects are an Oi! punk band which formed in the East End of London in 1979. Their biggest UK hit The Greatest Cockney Rip-Off was a parody of Sham 69's Hersham Boys. Other songs were less commercial, partly because they tended to be about street fighting or football hooliganism. This violence was often mirrored at their gigs, which the band sorted out themselves. Jeff and Mick Geggus, who are brothers, had both been keen amateur boxers and had fought at national level.
