The Casualties are a street punk band, formed in the early 1990s in New York City. Their first offering was their signature EP '40 0z. Casualty'. The band's first demo was recorded in 1990. The Casualties began as an effort to bring back the hardcore punk sound and style of many British hardcore punk bands. The band is known to have coined the term 'spikey-haired drunk punks,' as well as the slogans 'up the punx' and 'punx unite.' They have toured widely in Japan, Mexico, America, and Europe.
