Brian Jones was a founding member, lead and rhythm guitarist and backing singer in the English rock group, The Rolling Stones. He was also known for his multi-instrumental skills, fashionable mod image, drug and sexual excesses, and his early death at age 27. Jones' biggest achievement, probably even more important than being a musician, was his status as a fashion icon, exemplified by his rebellious, outlandish fashion sense. His style had influenced the fashion scene of swinging 1960s London.
